Municipal Leader DE&I Certificate Program (Fall 2024)

The Municipal Leader Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate Program is an EMBRACE program designed to equip municipal leaders with the knowledge, tools and resources to create a foundation for sustainable equitable and economic prosperity for their city and its residents by creating an environment that values differences, fosters relationships and seeks a spirit of belongingness.

 The Municipal Leader Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Certificate Program is a certificate program for INDIVIDUALS, targeting city leaders, such as mayors, city managers, city council members, and senior staff.

This program is informed by the reality of the day-to-day within city governments and aims to support municipal leaders in:

  • Learning the vital KSA's in creating a foundation for sustainable, and equitable economic prosperity for their city and community 
  • Fostering relationships by honoring and valuing individual differences
  • Creating an environment of belonging for city employees and residents

Participants will meet monthly in person from 9 am-4 pm over eight months on the following dates.

*Attendance for all modules is required to receive a certificate.

Program Cost: $1,500 - (Includes instructor fees, lunch, books, and assessments)
Parking is complimentary for program participants.
