MRAC - Governmental Fund Revenue Sources Moultrie
Course will provide an overview of laws which allow the imposition of taxes and fees such as hotel motel tax, insurance premium tax, franchise fees, excise tax on rental vehicles, grants, fines and other revenue. Participants will learn how to create a revenue manual for their city.
This is class #3 of the 5 classes required for the Municipal Revenue Administration Certificate (MRAC) Program. Future classes include: Occupation Tax/Alcohol License and Excise Tax on Dec 14, 2022, and the final class will be Customer Service & Internal Controls on Dec 21, 2022. This round of classes will all be held in Miultrie. If you can not attend one of these classes you can make it up during a future MRAC session which is tbd. All five classes must be completed prior to receiving your certificate.
Classes can be used as continuing education hours for those who have obtained the clerks certification through the Georgia Clerks Education Institute program.
