MRAC - Delinquent Tax Collection Moultrie
The course outlines the process in the collection of delinquent real and personal property taxes and the process for issuing fi fa's, tax liens and executing a legal tax sale and the redemption of property. The handling of bankruptcy notices will be reviewed.
This is class #2 of the 5 classes required for the Municipal Revenue Administration Certificate (MRAC) Program. Future classes include: Governmental Fund Revenue on Dec 7, 2022; Occupation Tax/Alcohol License on Dec 14, and the final class will be Customer Service & Internal Controls on Dec 21, 2022. This round of classes will all be held in Moultrie. If you can not attend one of these classes you can make it up during a future MRAC session which is tbd. All five classes must be completed prior to receiving your certificate.
These classes can be used as continuing education hours for those who have received the clerks cetification through the Georgia Clerks Education Institute program.
