MRAC - Delinquent Tax Collection SAV
The course outlines the process in the collection of delinquent real and personal property taxes and the process for issuing fi fa's, tax liens and executing a legal tax sale and the redemption of property. The handling of bankruptcy notices will be reviewed.
This is class #2 of the 5 classes required for the Municipal Revenue Administration Certificate (MRAC) Program. Future classes include: Occupation Tax/Regulatory Fees & Alcohol License on October 7, 2021, Governmental Fund Revenue Sources on October 14, 2021, and the final class will be Customer Service & Cyber Security on October 15, 2021. This round of classes will all be held in Savannah. All five classes must be completed prior to receiving your certification.
